DAY 1: ARUSHA - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
On the first day, you will meet your 1 Ra Adventure guide at your hotel at 7:30 am for your 1 Ra Adventure Safari briefing and you will receive your lunch boxes. Then you will head off to Tarangire, which is about a 2 hrs drive (120km). Tarangire is known for its savannah, baobab trees, Tarangire River, where many animals gather, and seasonal swamps, which are home to huge elephant herds. On your adventure, you would be able to see a selection of mammals ranging from giraffes, bushbucks, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and warthogs. Once these animals are found, it is likely that their predators (Lions, Leopards, and Cheetahs) are not far behind. On your adventure, you will get to take in the amazing view of the landscape and watch the graceful animals from the comfort of the open rooftop of your safari vehicle. In the late afternoon, you will leave the Tarangire National Park and head to nearby lodging, where you will spend the rest of your night relaxing and enjoying your dinner at Kizumba campsite.
DAY 2: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK - SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Day Two, will start with a wonderful breakfast. After breakfast, you will collect your lunch boxes and then continue your adventure towards the fertile highland where the Iraqw people grow wheat, coffee, and corn. You will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will be able to see the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to the Serengeti National Park, which you will reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania, with various landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. Here the biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place and depending on the season, you will have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals searching for nourishment. You will camp the night in the Seronera campsite for your accommodation.
DAY 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Day Three will start early in the morning for a game drive after breakfast. As the sun slowly rises over the vast open plains, you will embark on your first game drive visiting many kopje’s. There you will see an abundance of prey like gazelles and impalas as well as their predators. The Serengeti Park is said to have one of the largest lion populations in Africa and other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. You will also spend the rest of your day on an adventure tracking the great migration of wildebeest and zebras. After locating the migration, you will head back to Seronera campsite, where you will relax and prepare for your long journey the following day.
DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK - NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
Day Four, Before leaving Serengeti, you will have an early morning game drive where you will have the opportunity to see the incredible Serengeti sunrise. You will continue your game drive till noon time where you will return to your hotel for lunch and then head towards the Ngorongoro conservation area. In the conservation area, you will enjoy beautiful scenery like the unique Maasai bomas, the wild animals, the wonderful forest, and the beautiful highlands. You will spend a night at the Ngorongoro Simba campsite.
DAY 5: NGORONGORO CRATER - KARATU
Day Five, you will head to the Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning while doing an in route adventure game drive. Once you enter, you will enjoy fascinating nature with tropical forest smell, bird chirping sounds, and clouds in dense forest. Descending into the crater almost 600 meters, you will enjoy a fantastic view of wildlife, including the big five game animals: lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros. You will then break around 1:00 pm for lunch (lunch boxes) that you will enjoy in the picnic area, where you will have a view of the beautiful animals and scenery features of Ngorongoro. After lunch, you will continue with a game drive around the Ngorongoro crater, exploring the animals and nature of Ngorongoro. In the evening, we will leave the great Ngorongoro Conservation Area heading to Karatu, where you will lodge at Kizumba campsite for the night.
DAY 6: KARATU - LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK - ARUSHA
On day six, you will travel to Lake Manyara National Park, where you will enjoy the pristine wonderful pink flamingos that can be seen along the shores of Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara covers about two-thirds of the Park and is known to be home to over 400 bird species. You will also get to visit the hot water springs and see the famous tree-climbing lions. You will be driven around the National Park to take in the beautiful scenery before finally, takeing a peaceful ride back to your hotel in Arusha.
