The Full Day's Schedule

First, we will visit the Arusha Declaration Monument.  We love showing this to my guests and telling them about the history of Tanzanian independence.

Secondly, we will go to Sokokuu Central Market in Arusha. This is the only market in Arusha where people still practice the barter system.  Here, you can enjoy negotiating prices and tradable goods with the locals.

Third, we will visit the Clock Tower which was built by the Germans. It was the meeting point of explorers and missionaries from the western world. There’s a great secret about the clock tower that we love sharing with my guests.

Fourth, we will visit the Maasai Market where you can see the instruments, tools, paintings, drawings, clothes, and fabrics with East African prints, jewelry, and wood carvings, many hand-made by the Maasai. Our guests do not pay the high tourist prices.

Fifth, we will visit the Germany Boma Museum. This is a place where you can read about the hidden colonial history of Arusha. You will also learn about the different extinct animals that once existed in the region. You can learn about reptiles, amphibians, and in Arusha and some birds.

Last, we will visit a nice local restaurant where you will indulge in traditional Tanzanian food and freshly blended beverages.
